With the Eagles win in the Superbowl, football retreats from the spotlight and thoughts turn to baseball.  The Boston Globe reports that today is "Truck Day" for the Boston Red Sox.

That's the day a massive rig pulls out of Beantown and heads to Florida for the start of Spring Training loaded with all the baseball stuff needed to prepare the team for the season to come.

One can assume that similar collections - Like the Mariners - will be headed to Arizona and wherever else teams prep for the 2018 season.

So to put the picture in focus, here's what you need to get ready to "Play Ball!"  A 53-foot equipment truck, which according to MassLive contains:

20,400 baseballs, 1,100 bats, 200 batting gloves, 200 batting helmets, 320 batting practice tops, 160 white game jerseys, 300 pairs of pants, 400 T-shirts, 400 pairs of socks, 20 cases of bubble gum, and 60 cases of sunflower seeds.
Makes you feel kinda sorry for the equipment manager now doesn't it!
