It’s A Bird, A Plane, No It’s A Comet, An Eclipse, A Snow Moon?
If you’re a sky gazer you are gonna love this Friday. Three major celestial events will light up the sky at the same time on Friday (February 10th.) Here’s the line up - the convergence will consist of a "Snow Moon," a lunar eclipse, and a comet passing all on the same night!
Three for the price of none!
A “Snow Moon” simply describes the full moon of February; a lunar eclipse is when the earth is directly in front of the sun, which stops the sun's light from reaching the moon, and makes the moon appear red; and the comet, named Comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdušáková shows up every five and a quarter years. Happy sky watching! ( Elite Daily)
