The Washington Department of Transportation (DOT) has announced that there will be a closure of Interstate 90 Westbound Sunday morning.

The DOT will be closing the highway to remove trees that are along the highway. The closure will be starting at milepost 52.

One of the most impacted groups is anyone on the east side who is hoping to go to the Seahawks sendoff.

The Seahawks have invited fans to come to the corner of 46th Avenue and S 188th Street in Seatac to send the team off as they head to the Super Bowl. The sendoff will start at 10:30 a.m. with the recommendation that people arrive no later than 10:00.

The Interstate will be closed from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m depending on weather. Snoqualmie Pass will still be accessible from exit 54.
