Yakima commuters by the airport will see delays as the city works on the signal at 24th Avenue and Washington Avenue Tuesday morning.

Crews will be changing signal cabinets and while the work is underway the signal will not be functional. Flaggers will be stationed at the intersection to direct traffic.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will still be available, but the city suggests other drivers use an alternate route such as Nob Hill Boulevard or Ahtanum Road.

Work will begin at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to continue until approximately 11:00 a.m.
