Injured Oregon Man Settles a Lawsuit With The City of Yakima

Yakima County has settled a lawsuit with a worker who fell four stories down a Terrace Heights water tower. The man was severely injured in the accident in 2010. Michael Hanson of Oregon was hired to repair the tower when the floor gave way. The worker sued, saying Yakima County had not warned him of the dangers. A settlement was reached for more than one million dollars. Yakima County said it will pay $150,000 of that from its deductible. The rest is covered by insurance.
