Yakima's Annual Fourth of July celebration is scheduled for this Thursday at State Fair Park. A full slate of family entertainment and activities are planned for the entire community to enjoy.

Country star Mark Wills will take the stage at 8:35 p.m. Wills first hit the Country Music Scene in 1996.  Since his debut in '96, he has released Seven albums... Of his albums, "Wish You Were Here" is the best-selling, with a platinum certification. This album's title track and the late 2002 release "19 Somethin'" both reached number one on the country music charts.

Wills will culminate his performance Thursday night by singing the National Anthem just before the fireworks display at about 10:00 p.m.

Mark Wills phoned in for a conversation with Lance Tormey and Brian Teegarden Tuesday on KIT's Morning News. He talked about performing for festivals large and small and how he loves fireworks.
