Undocumented workers make up a large part of the Yakima Valley's agricultural workforce. Be it in the fields, orchards, dairies, or warehouses,  these workers are in the United States illegally.

Earlier this week, a bipartisan group of senators  agreed on an immigration reform plan  they hope to move quickly with legislation giving 11 million illegal immigrants a chance to eventually become American citizens.

Exactly what is the effect of undocumented workers on the Yakima Valley's Ag economy?

The Washington Growers League's Mike Gempler was a guest on Friday's Mike Bastinelli show. He talked about the senate's proposed immigration reforms, and what they could mean to the valley's growers.
