If You’re Short on Time and Money, A Stay-cation Might Be the Way to Go

Rising gas prices or a limited budget might be just a couple of reasons that you and your family might be considering staying at home for vacation rather than heading out on the road this summer. We have a few ideas that the whole family will enjoy.

Have a Backyard Beach Party. Grab some towels, snacks, a beach umbrella and enjoy the sunshine.

Go fishing in the local waters. Get your gear out of the attic, dig some worms and hit the local pond. Be sure and check out the local regulations before you go.

Have a Movie Night. Arrange your furniture into theatre seating, hit Redbox, and plan a double feature with lots of popcorn.

Plan a family barbecue. Get the family together and fire up the grill. Have guests bring the sides, and don't forget the S'mores!
