SEATTLE (AP) — An estimated 200 people marched through downtown Seattle protesting fatal police shootings of black people.

The Black Lives Matter rally Thursday evening lasted hours as people walked through the city, at time blocking streets and chanting, "No justice, no peace, no racist police," among other refrains.

Several media outlets reported the rally was peaceful and that some people had praise for police who were monitoring the event.

Hundreds marched in Seattle July 7 to protest police shootings of two black men in Louisiana and Minnesota, the same night five police officers were gunned down by a man at a rally in Dallas.
