A big May Day march is planned Sunday from Granger to Union Gap. The 27-mile march starts at 4:30 a.m. Sunday and ends at 5:30 p.m. in Union Gap, where a special two-hour program is planned at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School, 2000 S. 18th St.

Organizers say the march is similar to a march led by Cesar Chavez in 1986. The march starts at Radio KDNA, 21 Sunnyside Ave., in Granger on Sunday morning.
