Human Bones Found Near Naches Identified

Human bones found by a hunter near Clemen Mountain last week have been identified as those of Travis R. Carter of Naches. Detectives from the Yakima County Sheriff's office say Carter was 27-years-old when he was reported missing in 2013.  Family members say they hadn't heard from him since 2012. Detectives say before he disappeared he had disposed of his personal property and told others he was leaving the area. The bones, found near Clemen Mountain in the Naches area last Friday were identified through dental records. The hunter found a human jawbone and contacted authorities. The cause of death couldn't be determined but no foul play is suspected in the case.
