It's job evaluation time for Yakima City Manager Tony O'Rourke.  His boss, the Yakima City Council is being asked to evaluate his work from July of last year to July of this year. The purpose of the annual performance review is to assess O'Rourke's work over the last year and help establish new goals for next year. O"Rourke has given council members a memo highlighting some of his accomplishments which include the adoption by the council of a Downtown Master Plan, the Downtown Plaza proposal, work on North 1st Street, the creation of a Pilot Recycling Program and successful employee union negotiations. O'Rourke's evaluation will be conducted in a closed executive session on Tuesday August 5.
