This could be bad news for Ted Cruz. Is it what they say or how they say it?  What is it about the politicians you support that draws your allegiance?  Could it be the pitch of their voice?  Researchers from the University of Miami and Duke University have discovered the pitch of a candidate's voice can actually influence if they get the vote or not.

Researchers had 400 men and 400 women vote in one of 90 different mock elections between two hypothetical candidates. The findings show that voters seem to prefer candidates with deeper voices.

The mock candidates ranged in age from 30 to 70, but those in the 40s and 50s were most likely to "win." The findings are consistent with the idea that voters prefer leaders who are not too young and inexperienced, nor too old and less capable of active leadership and that all coincides with the time in life when people's voices reach their
