Homicide Suspect Arrested In Lower Yakima Valley

Grandview Police Department officers on Monday arrested a suspect in the weekend homicide here. He is believed to be the shooter in that case and as far as we know at this point he acted alone. Taken into custody was a 19 year old Grandview male. He has not been formally charged as yet. The case is still under investigation and release of additional information at this point could potentially hinder those efforts. I am not prepared to provide any further details, but did want to inform the public that a suspect has been located. I will say that we had a number of officers working this case from the outset. Their exemplary efforts resulted in this timely arrest. We will be prepared to offer additional information, probably not until tomorrow, but until then please bear with us and understand we must proceed with the best interests of appropriate case resolution.
