SUNNYSIDE POLICE NEWS RELEASE -- On December 19th, just after 6:00 PM, Sunnyside Police were called to the area of 1500 Block of Harrison Ave in reference to a burglary in progress.

The reporting party advised that there was a male subject that was inside their shed and was being held at gunpoint by the home owner.

Police quickly arrived and located suspect Arturo Galvez face down on the floor of the shed as he was being kept at bay by home owner.

Police arrested and booked Galvez for Burglary based on having to jump exterior 6 foot fencing to get to the closed shed at the back of the residence.

The home owner was also Korean War Veteran who legally possessed the hand gun.

Upon further examination nothing had been taken when the home owner interrupted the suspect.
