Home Fire in Goldendale Kills Father and Two Kids

Police in the southern Washington community of Goldendale say a 34-year-old man and two young children have been found dead after a house fire.

The Klickitat County coroner's office identified the victims as Thomas Blakely and his two children, 7-year-old Kyra Blakely and 5-year-old Thomas Blakely.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports that autopsies are scheduled. Police say flames had engulfed the house by the time the fire was called in about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

KPTV says police report that the wife and mother of the family was not home when the fire started.

The TV station says investigators said Wednesday evening that the fire's cause was determined to be electrical, due to faulty wiring.
