The Yakima Schools Foundation Breakfast was greeted by Hollywood actor Christopher Wiehl today at the Yakima Convention Center. Wiehl was the keynote speaker today at the event that raises money for the community organization. Wiehl, who grew up in Yakima and whose sister is Lis Wiehl says education played a huge part in his acting career. "I went to YVCC and had a wonderful instructor there. I took drama and was cast in a play called The Elephant Man. Then I attended the University of Washington where I was a drama major. After that I went to Hollywood and started getting after it."
More than 500 people attended the breakfast which is the largest fundraiser for the Yakima Schools Foundation. The 44-year-old Weihl has been involved in a lot of shows including CSI, Jericho and Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
