SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. (AP) — Search and rescue volunteers helped a stranded man off a western Washington peak on Sunday morning.

The 23-year-old man had been stuck on Guye Peak since Friday night and authorities said he wasn't prepared for the weather conditions. The man was stuck in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area of the Cascade Range, which overlooks Snoquamie Pass from the north.

Seattle Mountain Rescue says weather conditions delayed their work but multiple teams of volunteers helped transport him off the mountain early Sunday morning.
