More ballots will be counted today in the Yakima County auditor's office, but currently voters in the Highland School District are approving a $6 million bond with 62 percent support. It's a different story in West Valley, however, where only 52 percent of voters are supporting a $57 million bond. Both measures need a 60 percent "supermajority" for passage.

Highland's bond would go toward converting a bus barn into an educational center. West Valley officials want to use bond money to replace two elementary schools and make changes to West Valley Junior High.

More ballots will be counted this afternoon, and we'll have results as we get them.
