Hero’s Nephew Proud of Street Naming Honor

Ken Pendleton of Yakima is proud that Yakima is recognizing his great uncle Staff Sgt. Jack Pendleton by renaming "A" Street Staff Sargeant Pendleton Way M.O.H. to honor Yakima's only Medal Of Honor recipient.

Pendleton says he remembers the Medal of Honor being talked about in the family when he was a young boy. “I remember being able to take the Medal Of Honor to school and share it.”

Pendleton owns Yakima's Pendleton Paving. He says he hopes that when people see the new street signs that they realize there are heroes that come from small towns protecting our country everyday.

He believes Jack Pendleton would be very pleased by having a street named after him in Yakima.
