Students from area high schools are literally taking over.  One day the future will be theirs so now's the time to learn about philanthropy and public service how to help build a better world for all.  So yes, students from area high schools are taking over, they are taking over a couple area restaurants as they compete for titles in this year’s YouthWorks Pageants.

Patrons of Provisions in Terrace Heights and Zesta Cucina in Yakima will see young men from seven area high schools tableside as as waiters and servers in late January and early February.

The candidates will be waiting tables to raise awareness and money for children’s healthcare needs in our community at Virginia Mason Memorial and Children’s Village.

The schools participating in the fun and fund raising for Children’s Miracle Network are Eisenhower, Davis, West Valley, Naches, Sunnyside, Wapato and East Valley.

The schedule for the restaurant take-overs is:

Jan. 22: Mr. Davis at Provisions, 5- 8 p.m.

Feb. 1:  Mr. West Valley at Zesta Cucina, 5-8 p.m.

Feb. 5:  Mr. Naches at Zesta Cucina, 5-8 p.m.

Feb. 8:  Mr. Ike at Zesta Cucina, 5-8 p.m
