IKE RENAISSANCE FUNDRAISER . . . The Eisenhower Renaissance Club is sponsoring the 3rd Annual “Scrapbooking and Quilt Making Day” on Saturday, March 24 in the Ike Cafeteria from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The cost for the scrapbooking and card making is $25.  From 8 a.m. to noon and again from 1 to 5 p.m., there will be a T-Shirt Quilt Class offered. DISCOVERY MUSIC STUDENTS RECOGNIZED . . . Students in the 7th and 8th grade orchestra at Discovery Lab School earned an Excellent rating at the Yakima Valley Music Educators’ Orchestral Large Group Adjudication on Wednesday, March 7.  The students earning this rating (the highest of all middle schools) were:

Bailey Butler   Diana Vargas

Deven Linker    Hannah Whitmer

Cassidy Long

Also, participating in the Orchestral Adjudication was the Davis High School Chamber Orchestra which received a Superior rating.  This was the highest numerical score of the entire region.

IKE STUDENT EARNS HIGH HONORS IN SPEECH & DEBATE CONTEST  . . . Congratulations to Annalee Ullom of Eisenhower High School for her 6th Place finish at the WIAA/WSFA State Individual Events Speech Championships.  Annalee is the first freshman in over 10 years from Ike to have placed in the Top 6 at this competition.

DAVIS STUDENT WINS AWARD AT ART SHOW. . . Congratulations to Davis High School student, Zach Morehead, who won the Jewelry Award at the recent Heritage University High School student art show.

IKE ASL STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN “SIGN OFF” COMPETITION . . . Seventeen (17) American Sign Language students from Eisenhower High School traveled to Covington, Washington, this past Saturday (March 17) to participate in the annual Washington State American Sign Language “Sign Off” Competition.  It was an amazing day with amazing results!
