’s heartbreaking when it happens but it happens.  Everyday kids experience the pain and loss of the death of a loved one.

It’s hard enough for adults to find their way through grief to healing let alone children but there is help available for both.  Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital is offering a hands-on workshop on Sunday, May 15, to help guide children and their parents or guardians through the process of grief.   The kids will see they aren’t alone and that other kids face the same challenges and all will have a hands on workshop with the opportunity to express their feelings and thoughts through creative activities .

While children at the workshop are participating in activities to assist their recovery, parents and guardians will be involved in a grief recovery program geared for adults.

The workshop will be held at the  Children’s Village, 3801 Kern Road from noon to 2:30

There's no charge for the event and to register, contact Joyce Scott at JoyceScott@yvmh.org or 509-577-5062.
