It's always our pleasure to team up with Northwest Harvest to help families in need. The second annual Carve Out Hunger event is 6:30 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 17) at the Selah Civic Center, 216 S. First St., and you can help!

They will have an baseball autographed by Robinson Cano provided by the Seattle Mariners to raffle off as well as beer and wine tasting, food and dessert sampling from various local eateries. They even a celebrity pumpkin carving contest.

“We are excited to be hosting this fundraising event again, and appreciate all the support and donations we receive to put it on”, says Sheri Bissell, Yakima Community Engagement Specialist for Northwest Harvest. “It is a perfect evening for fall and fighting hunger!”

We've teamed with Northwest Harvest several times in the past. They provide food and meals to individuals and schools all across the state. This specific event will help programs in the Yakima Valley.

If you're interested in attending, tickets are $45 and can be purchased through brownpapertickets.com
