Harrison Ford As Indiana Jones-Top Movie Character of All Time? – Dave’s Diary
Empire Magazine claims to be the World’s Leading Movie Magazine. I have no evidence to the contrary. Empire readers recently picked the greatest movie characters of all time. Here we may have a disagreement. The poll, voted for by over 10,000 people on empireonline.com named Indiana Jones over James Bond to be named the greatest movie character of all time.
Harrison Ford, 72, has played Indiana Jones in four films, starting with Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981 and most recently in 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Ford also came in third for his role as Star Wars hero Han Solo.
Director George Lucas created both archaeologist hero and intergalactic rebel. Ford trades bull whip for wookie in the new movie - Star Wars: The Force Awakens, due for release later this year .
The UK’s superspy james Bond –robbed of his rightful place atop the list-placed a close second in the poll
The only female to make the list was Sigourney Weaver's character Ellen Ripley in Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic Alien. She took fifth place, just behind Batman
