Hank Williams, Jr., never one to shrink from speaking his mind, made a comment comparing the President to Hitler and ends up having his long running opening pulled from tonight's Monday Night Football broadcast.

During a bizarre interview Monday on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends,” the country star compared John Boehner playing golf with Barack Obama to “Hitler playing golf with (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu. Not hardly. In the shape this country is in?”

ESPN has responded by removing Williams’ “All My Rowdy Friends” intro that has annoyed NFL fans for 23 seasons.

“While Hank Williams Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize that he is closely linked to our company through the open to ‘Monday Night Football,’” ESPN said in a news release. “We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result we have decided to pull the open from tonight’s telecast.”

The comments took the “Fox and Friends” crew by surprise as well. Gretchen Carlson, Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade appeared uncomfortable with the direction the interview took.
