Grind and Overlay Project Could Impact Your Commute

Yakima city crews are working this week on a grind and overlay project that could impact your commute. Yakima city officials say from Monday, October 1^st through Friday, October 5^th, the section of Naches Avenue between SST Pendleton Way and MLK, Jr. Boulevard will be closed during daytime hours while a road repair and grind and overlay paving project is underway.

A news release from the city says "during the project, the portion of Naches Avenue between SST Pendleton Way and MLK, Jr. Boulevard will be closed from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm each day.  Detour routes around the project area will be in in place and flaggers will be on site to assist in directing traffic."
