Granger Cherry Festival Celebrates 70 Years This Weekend

For the last 70 years the city of Granger has been celebrating cherries. And they'll be celebrating again this weekend during the 70th annual Granger Cherry Festival at Granger City Park Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It's sponsored by the Granger Lions Club. Club member Precilla Lopez says "we see a lot of people and plenty of new faces."
She says you'll find live music, concessions, carnival rides and a bingo tent. The Granger Cherry Festival parade starts at 11:00 a.m. Saturday and weaves it's way through the downtown area.
