The Yakama Nation will welcome Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, as Honorary Grand Marshal of the Yakama Nation Treaty Day Parade on June 6.

This will be Gov. Inslee’s first visit to the reservation since taking office.

The Yakamas are also hosting World War II Code Talker Kee Etsitty of the Navajo Nation. He will be highlight the Yakamas' honoring of all veterans as part of the annual Treaty Day Celebration.

The parade will start at 10 a.m. on the Yakama Agency campus just off the Fort Road.

Yakama leaders will make presentations to guests at the Yakama Nation Cultural Center north lawn area. That will begin approximately 11 a.m.
