The federal government shutdown has had little impact on the Yakima Training Center.
Base commander Lt. Colonel Darrel O'Steen says last week 14 civilian workers were furloughed, but they were all back to work today.

Lt. Colonel O'Steen says training continues as normal "We have over 2,500 soldiers training there, and they've been there for the last three weeks.  The shutdown has not impacted our current training mission."
While the current training is not affected, Lt. Colonel O'Steen says the lack of a budget for the fiscal year 2014 is making it difficult to plan for future training
