Another gorgeous day in the Yakima valley.  Sunshine and the beautiful outdoors-just what the Doctor ordered for -- stress relief.  Health info out of Austria shows that spending time IN green space is significantly more relaxing than time spent even NEXT to it - on lounges, balconies and even terraces.

Researchers asked 800+ people to answer questions about how restorative they found different areas of their homes and the restoration factor increases in proportion to the number of natural elements present.

The study showed greenspace relief  works as well for women as it does for men and older and younger participants both enjoyed the benefits.

But having a space isn’t enough, to get the most out of it you have to someone who can let go the source of the stress.  That coupled with the green space is key to the restorative effects.   (Daily Mail)
