Welcome to the first day of spring. It's time for a spring driving trip. And good news average retail gasoline prices in Yakima have not moved  in the past week, averaging $2.81/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 91 gas outlets in Yakima. This compares with the national average that has fallen 0.3 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.29/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

Including the change in gas prices in Yakima during the past week, prices yesterday were 65.2 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 12.9 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 1.2 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 30.3 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.

According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on March 20 in Yakima have ranged widely over the last five years:
$2.15/g in 2016, $2.50/g in 2015, $3.51/g in 2014, $3.66/g in 2013 and $3.90/g in 2012.

Tacoma- $2.87/g, flat  from last week's $2.87/g.
Seattle- $2.88/g, down 0.3 cents per gallon from last week's $2.88/g.
