Average retail gasoline prices in Yakima have risen 0.4 cents per gallon in the past week averaging $3.84 per gallon according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 91 gas outlets in Yakima.

The national average increased one cent per gallon in the past week to $3.63 per gallon.

Prices are 5.9 cents per gallon lower than the same day in 2013 and 3.2 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has decreased 2.0 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 2.1 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.

"The start to the summer driving season came with little fanfare," said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. "The national average has remained virtually unchanged for four days straight, and prices over Memorial Day weekend nationally ended up slightly less than 2013's levels. Between now and mid-June we should see additional relief at the pump, and by the end of June, the national average could decline another 10 cents per gallon from where it currently stands."
