Drivers in Yakima will be paying a little bit more at the pump as prices are starting their annual rise towards summer costs.

Average prices rose nearly seven cents per gallon in Yakima to $3.32 per gallon according to GasBuddy.com. Prices are still 24 cents per gallon less than they were at this time last year.

The national average saw just a five cent increase but is averaging $3.40 per gallon.

Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan says, "The rate of increase in the national average has accelerated over the last week, and the worst is likely yet to come."

GasBuddy surveys 91 gas outlets around the Yakima area for their website YakimaGasPrices.com.
