It's summer and gas prices are falling? That's right. The folks at Gasbuddy.com say  average retail gasoline prices in Yakima have fallen 1.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.57/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 91 gas outlets in Yakima. That compares with the national average that has fallen 3.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.23/g. Have you done any summer driving? Do you have any planned?

Wow what a difference in prices from just a year ago. Including the change in gas prices in Yakima during the past week, prices yesterday were 56.1 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 0.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 15.7 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 53.2 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.

 

According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on July 11 in Yakima have ranged widely over the last five years:

$3.13/g in 2015, $3.91/g in 2014, $3.76/g in 2013, $3.61/g in 2012 and $3.74/g in 2011.
