A 25-year-old man was arrested Friday after a week long manhunt.
The U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Taskforce  working with the Sunnyside Police Department, Benton County Sheriff’s Office and Yakima County Sheriff’s Office concluded the search with the arrest and capture of 25 year old Norteño gang member Daniel Solis. Solis was wanted on a 1st Degree Assault warrant for the January 27 targeting and shooting of a motorist on I-82 near Prosser.  Solis was located by the Task Force near the 3000 block of Washout Road in Sunnyside, WA.  After surrounding a home, Solis surrendered without incident.

Four people involved with this investigation have also been arrested and face similar charges related to the shooting. Several other associates have been arrested for harboring or aiding Solis. Solis is being held in the Yakima County Jail.
