Yakima Police have arrested a fourth teen in connection with the kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl at gunpoint on Monday.

On Tuesday bail was set at $250,000 each for the four suspects. The girl was found unharmed.

Capt. Rod Light says she is lucky. He says based on follow-up interviews with the suspects this case could have ended tragically. “It was a relationship between the suspect and the victim that had gone bad; not ending like he wanted it to. It could have been a tragic event to the point of having two people more likely than not dead.”

The four suspects, two 16-year-olds and two 17-year-olds, are being held in the county juvenile jail on various charges including first degree kidnapping and first degree robbery. Light says it is possible that some of the suspects could be transferred to adult court to face charges.

The girl was unharmed after being located by state patrol troopers. The girl used her cell phone to contact authorities.
