During the ‘30s and ‘40s, Harry Baals was a popular four-term mayor of Fort Wayne, IN. So popular, in fact, he currently leads an online vote for what famous Fort Wayne resident the city should name their new government center after.

But even if Harry Baals wins he probably won’t get his name on the building. That’s because his last name is pronounced “Balls,” and some in Fort Wayne fear that a Harry Baals government center would make their city the butt of jokes.

It’s entirely possible this is also the reason Harry Baals is leading the online voting. (Via WYRK)
