Former Yakima Mayor Henry Beauchamp Dies

Longtime Yakima Civic Leader Henry Beauchamp died Tuesday at the age of 79.  Beauchamp was elected to the Yakima City Council in 1978 and served for 24 years, including two years as Mayor from 1986 to 1988.  Beauchamp was also the director of the Yakima Oppurtunity Industrialization Center of Yakima or OIC.  Beauchamp was also known for his work with the Southeast Community Center in Yakima. Most recently Beauchamp managed the Branch Villa Health Care Center in Seattle.
