Frank Sweet, former Selah City Supervisor was sentenced today after pleading guilty in Yakima County Superior Court. He pleaded guilty to damaging public records, was sentenced to one  day in jail, and he's required to pay restitution. Sweet entered an Alford Plea, which means he acknowledged that prosecutors had a strong enough case to convict him. Sweet still refused to admit  any guilt. He was accused of stealing a laptop computer and hard drive owned by the city and of deleting public documents after he was fired when current  Selah Mayor John Gawlyk took office.
