Former NFL Star in Yakima To Campaign for Lands Commisioner
Clint Didier spent 9 years in the NFL, he won 3 Super Bowls as a tight end for the Washington Redskins, now the Connell farmer is trying to win his first statewide election. Four years ago he failed in his attempt to unseat incumbent US Senator Patty Murray and now he's trying to unseat incumbant Lands Commisioner Peter Goldmark. Didier says Goldmark has done nothing to thin out forest and remove dead wood and brush which he says is fuel for recent massive forest fires. Didier says if he's elected he would restore the forest health by removing dead and dying bug infested trees. He says Goldmarks philosophy has been to build a barrier between the public and the land and waters. Didier says his philosophy is that man can live in harmony with our natural resources.
