Former First Lady Laura Bush was in Yakima earlier today to speak at the Town Hall Lecture series at the Capital Theater. Mrs. Bush talked about her years in the White House saying her and the President were just normal people serving America. The former First Lady now travels the Country in support of President Bush's Life-Saving Global Health Initiatives, including the President's Malaria Initiative and the President's Emergency Plan for aids relief. But she also speaks about her years in the White House, especially the years after 911. However she's not talking about politics. She didn't take any questions about the current political climate. She did however take two pictures...one with KIT News Director Lance Tormey.
