Former Democrat Says He’s GOP Now

It's been a busy weekend for a former democratic leader in Yakima who's backing Donald Trump for President. Former Yakima County Democratic Party Chair Alonzo or Al Marquez held rallies in Yakima Friday, Saturday and Sunday. At Sunday's rally held at Miller Park Marquez told a small crowd "I used to be democrat but I turned republican because I think we're going in the wrong direction." As a devoted Catholic Marquez says he can't back the pro-choice stance the party holds on abortion. Marquez says he's surprised to see a lot of support at the rallies and at while attending church Sunday morning where he says he distributed anti abortion pro-Trump literature.

Marquez says only a small amount of people were against Trump at the rallies he held at Lions Park, The Millennium Plaza and Miller Park in Yakima.
