Former Central Chimps OK at Quebec Sanctuary
Two chimpanzees that used sign-language at a Central Washington University institute are reportedly doing well at a sanctuary in Quebec.
Tatu and Loulis were moved in August from Ellensburg to the Fauna Foundation sanctuary.
The Daily Record reports thhe sanctuary has about a dozen chimpanzees and ample space.
The two from CWU were the last of five chimps that lived at the Chimpanzee and Human Communication Institute, which has been discontinued.
