EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — The "flying people" could be heading for a crash. The airport in Eugene, Oregon, has an art installation that shows black-and-white photo cutouts of local folks in flying poses. The popular artwork has to be removed due to an airport expansion. Officials are considering options, including only displaying part of the work or putting it into storage. Mayor Kitty Piercy is upset about the prospect of grounding the flying people. The Register-Guard reports the mayor posted "I hate this!!" on Facebook.
