As high rates of flu pack the rooms at Virginia Mason Memorial hospital, the hospital has adjusted its visitation policy.  As a precaution, children 12 years of age and younger are restricted from visiting the hospital.

In a news release the hospital said that in those circumstances in which juveniles and family members must visit the hospital, the following precautions are requested:

Make your visit to the hospital as brief as possible.

Use hand sanitizer and wear a mask. These are provided at all entrances to the hospital.

Practice regular hand hygiene (wash hands thoroughly with soap and water)

This restriction will be in place until further notice. Visitors may be approached or questioned by Memorial staff while on site and the hospital  appreciates your patience and understanding during this time.
