Flood Watch is ON — Heavy Rain Expected

It could be a very wet day and night. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the region from Ellensburg to Goldendale because of heavy rain expected today.
The watch is in effect from 10:00 am this morning until noon on Thursday. If the heavy rain does come officials with the Yakima County Office of Emergency Management say the valley could see flooding just like Sunday when rivers and creeks overflowed banks. They say if you live in flood prone areas you need to prepare for high water. Sandbags are available at local ACE Hardware stores. City and county officials are no longer giving those away for free.
