Before you take off for work tomorrow you might want to make sure your regular route isn't flooded out. Due to flooding from snow melt and rain flowing down from the mountains the authorities have completely blocked off traffic to the intersection of Fruitvale Bl. and 40th Ave. where it leads onto the entrance of Hwy 12. According to the Yakima Office of Emergency Management, flooding has also affected Cowiche Mill, French Canyon Road, Funkhouser and Pioneer and authorities have closed Summitview Road between Cowiche Mill & Weikel Rd. There is also extensive flooding in Ellensburg according to police where city workers in Ellensubrg closed off 5th and Rail Road due to very high water levels.

According to the National Weather Service the flood warning continues for the following rivers in Washington... Naches River near Naches affecting Yakima County Yakima River at Umtanum affecting Kittitas County Yakima River near Parker affecting Yakima County The Flood Warning continues for The Yakima River near Parker.The warning is in effect from late tonight to Tuesday evening.
