Yakima County officials spent the weekend watching area rivers and streams for flooding that started early Friday morning on the North Fork Ahtanum Road. Officials from the Yakima County Office of Emergency Management say the warm weather caused an ice jam to free itself early Friday morning that forced water down the river and on to the road near Ahtanum Creek. About 4inches of water covered the roadway. One family was displaced because of the water and several homes  and vehicles were damaged as well.
