Two cars involved in an accident near Sunnyside ended up rolled over near State Route 241 and Factory Road.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a Dodge Ram, driven by 26-year-old Gilberto Vargas Sardina, was on Factory Road and failed to stop at a stop sign. The truck hit a Ford Windstar driven by 44-year-old Maria Benitez.

Neither of the drivers was injured, but five passengers in the Windstar were transported to Sunnyside Community Hospital. They ranged in age from 5 to 36.

No word on the cause of the accident and charges are pending for Sardina. The State Patrol suspects drugs or alcohol were involved.

The accident occurred just before midnight Saturday.
